Buyers march against delay in flat delivery

Delhi/NCR
Over 1,000 home buyers held a protest march in the city against “inordinate delays” by builders in delivering their projects.

The protest by “NCR Home Buyers’ Group” saw buyers of several big ongoing residential projects in Noida and Greater Noida taking part.

The march started at Sector 18 and ended with a demonstration in Film City.

The buyers, wearing caps and holding banners, demanded possession of their flats. “We have been demanding our flats for a long time. We have unified under this big banner that represents all flat buyers in NCR. We want justice and our voices to be heard,” said Markandey Mishra, a buyer.

“While most projects got delayed by 2-5 years, some projects have not even started. We demand that the builders handover existing projects before starting fresh ones,” said Indrish Gupta.
